Florida Helmet Law / Nicole’s Helmet Law for Minors
On June 8, 2009, Florida Governor Charlie Crist signed “Nicole’s Law.” Nicole’s Law mandated that horseback riders aged 16 and under must wear a helmet when riding on public roads, rights of way, or during riding lessons. Exemptions apply for activities such as rodeos, parades, and riding on private property.
