Meet the GFCD 2026 Cow Boss, Travis Brown.
A native Floridian originally from Melbourne, Travis has called Florida’s Heartland Region home for more than 18 years. He is a Florida beef producer who has spent his life working in the cattle industry and raising his family within it, deeply rooted in the values and traditions that define Florida ranching.
Travis and his wife, Emma Brown, are co-owners of Brown & Company Realty, a brokerage they founded just three years ago. What began as a small venture has grown rapidly—today, 19 agents proudly hang their licenses with the firm. His success in real estate is built on decades of hands-on experience in cattle and land management, giving him a unique perspective on Florida’s working lands.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Travis earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in May 1998. For more than 33 years, he has worked in the beef cattle and land management industry. During that time, he has built a vast network at the local, state, and national levels. This experience has helped him become a multi-million-dollar real estate producer while advocating for responsible land use and agricultural sustainability.
In addition to serving as Cow Boss, Travis has been instrumental in establishing the route for the Great Florida Cattle Drive. He has spent countless hours working with landowners and meeting with county officials to ensure the drive can happen. His dedication and behind-the-scenes efforts have been essential to making this event possible. We truly appreciate his hard work and commitment to keeping Florida’s 250-year cattle-driving heritage alive.
Travis brings extensive diversification in land management. He has a deep understanding of the highest and best use of land and its resources. He is extremely passionate about the beef industry and is always willing to talk with anyone who will listen about God and cows—always in that order.
Travis is honored to serve as Cow Boss. He’s proud to be part of this historic Great Florida Cattle Drive. His leadership, authenticity, and lifelong commitment to Florida’s beef industry make him a perfect fit for this role.
